Our Story

Bon House started in 2022 after offering up a space for a friend to celebrate their album release with four local bands.

They played to a room of 150 people who witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime show. Word spread and the “house turned venue” has been booking shows ever since.

Years later we continue to host regular shows as one of the few remaining DIY spaces in Atlanta, Georgia and have plans to expand to a commercial space in 2025.

Where do the bands play?

We have an open concept layout that leaves the kitchen, living room, and dining room wide open. We clear out the furniture, put the bands in the living room, and the crowd in the rest of the space.

How did this start?

Bon House threw it’s first show in January 2022 for a friend’s album release including a four band bill we jokingly called Boneway Fest. More bands wanted to play and the booking requests never stopped.

What's with all the pabst?

You’ll only see water and Pabst Blue Ribbon at Bon House shows! We have an official sponsorship with PBR that allows us to keep our costs down and give more back to bands.

Is it an all ages venue?

We think all ages venues are crucial to the local community, so we welcome anyone. We check IDs at the door and make sure any underage attendees are kept safe and sober.

How many shows have we booked?

We’ve been operating for two years with 22 shows and 72 bands. We are so grateful for the longevity and commitment the community has made to keeping Bon House active.

What kind of bands play?

Touring and Local, Big and Small, Famous and Not Famous Yet. We specialize in indie rock, emo, and punk from local legends like Michael Cera Palin, Mighty, Worlds Greatest Dad, and hey, nothing.

What's next for bon house

Every breath that a house venue gets to breathe is rare air. We want to throw shows as long as we can, and are looking into commercial space to make sure we can do this forever.
